Shanbally N.S. recently has a fantastic sports day during Active Week. Classes from Junior Infants to sixth competed in a range of different activities such as egg and spoon race, sack race. hurdles, river crossing, wellie throw, shoe race, javelin, discus, javelin, shot put, wheelchair races and the famous water race. Well done to all and a huge thanks to Rebel Wheelers and Orla O’Brien for organising the wheelchairs on the day. Also thanks to Cian O Neill who helped to show pupils the correct technique for the shot put, discus and javelin on the day.
