We had our annual concert for seachtain na gaeilge today. We had a great variety of performances including, Irish dancing, singing, dramas, traditional music and poetry. Well done to all the children who took part either individually or with their class group.

Well done to all the children who took part in the tag rugby tournament in Carrigaline last Friday. It was a really enjoyable experience and really well organised. Thanks to Vincent O Leary for inviting us to take part.      

We have been given our draw/ group for the Sciath na Scol hurling competition. Training will continue next Tuesday 2.45-3.45pm . A note on the fixtures has been handed out today. These are all provisional dates!

Children from 5th and 6th are taking part in a tag rugby tournament on Friday. This is a follow on from Vincent O’ Leary’s tag rugby classes in school over the past few weeks. Parents please take note of the details that have been sent home to the participants.

We are lucky enough again this year to be able to have some Irish dancing classes with Miah Walsh. Miah is taking each class and the children are really enjoying taking part.      

As you are aware, our school is always a hive of activity. Today we had a visit from some engineers from De Puy. The school were represented in the recent 6th class indoor hurling tournament. Competition was tough in the A Grade tournament but the boys hurled out of their skin. The players that took part were Mark, Cormac, Kieran, Adam, Criostoir, David and Eoin. Well done lads! Training for outdoor hurling Sciath na Scol will begin soon.

Well done to all the children who took part in the cross border choir. The performance was by all accounts fantastic. The pupils were a credit to their school and their families!!
