All classes participated in an Orienteering day as part of Shanbally N.S. Active week. Junior, senior infants and first class  played some orienteering games and activities in the school yard. Second and third class used the whole school as they went searching for their orienteering control markers in some very well hidden places in the school ground. Fourth, fifth and sixth class then used maps which showed the school and Shamrocks G.A.A. grounds. Fifth and sixth class then went to Currabinny Woods with Sean Cotter who is a member of Bishopstown Orienteering Club. Well done to Tim Sheehan and Philip Dorney who won the 6th class orienteering and Colin Murphy and Conor O Callaghan who won the 5th class medals. Well done to all classes for participating and making it a fun day for everyone.
