Now that the Summer holidays are almost here, we hope that all pupils will continue to keep active and healthy. We are very lucky to have an excellent facility such as the Raffeen Pitch and Putt Club only a few hundred metres down the road from Shanbally school. Boys and girls, over 10 years of age are invited to go along any Friday to try it out. The following notice was dropped into school lately.
Well done to Mark , Declan, Philip and Tim, all 6th Class pupils, who were recent winners of the 2016 Primary Schools Pitch and Putt Competition. The boys frequently bring their Pitch and Putt Clubs to school and head off down to Raffeen Creek for a round or two, straight after school, a tradition that has been part of the Senior pupils of Shanbally NS for many, many years.
