We congratulate Shamrocks Minor hurlers who added the County C League to the Championship that they won back in September, with a nine point win over Carbery Rangers in Newcestown on Sunday afternoon, November 9th. The team has strong ties with our school as twelve members of this gallant team are past-pupils of Shanbally NS and represented the school on many occasions in the recent past.
School principal, Mr. David Nolan, continued to play a vital role in this Shamrocks victory and we send our congratulations to him and to the entire management team, who have given so much of their time and expertise to help this young team believe in themselves and, in doing so, lift the spirits of the club and all the Shamrock supporters. Let’s hope you all have many more enjoyable games of Hurling ahead of you with the Shamrocks Hurling and Football Club!!
