The boys and girls in rang 5 and rang 6 were given a wonderful presentation by Captain Tom McCarthy recently. Tom, whose grandchildren attend our school, has captained many commercial ships as well as the Jeanie Johnston and the Asgard. Tom put together a great Power point presentation of photographs from his travels and shared some fascinating stories of his numerous adventures. He also presented the school with a beautiful print of Ireland’s Tall Ships. We are really lucky to have such and interesting person visit our classes and living here in the local community.
