Here is Rebecca’s account of her great victory at the weekend.
Last weekend I competed in the International Irish Championships in Neptune Stadium in Cork. I competed in the 13 to 17 Junior category in Individual and team sparring and patterns. Other countries like England, Scotland and the Netherlands also attended to competition. I fought girls from Scotland England and Ireland to progress and finally win gold in my category. I was so happy with this as it was my first big tournament in this older category. We also finished third in the team sparring that day. It was an exciting weekend.
