Welcome to the first ever 3rd class blog. We are looking forward to sharing with you our adventures and displays throughout the year so make sure to stay in touch.
So far its been a busy first few weeks. The following are just some of our the things that we have been a part of……..
“C’mon the rebels”
Cheering on the Cork football team before the All Ireland Final. We had a great week in the build up to the match. We sung the banks of my own lovely lee with pride and created colourful Cork crests to decorate our room. Corcaigh abú!!
Our Titaic art; We got great enjoyment from learning about one of the greatest disasters in History; The sinking of the Titanic. As part of the project we looked at menu’s, passenger lists, old newspapers and diary accounts relating to the topic. We even did an interview with the ships captain Smith. ( Role play).
Out and about
We undertook a traffic survey in Shanbally village counting cars, lorries, pedestrians and other modes of transport. We also used Google streetmap of Shanbally Village. It was a really cool project in which we found some striking results. These will be posted for you very soon.
