Principal’s Newsletter 1

September 7^th 2017

A warm welcome back to everyone. We’d like to especially welcome our 29 new Junior Infants, our 3 new children in our Language Class-Dylan, Rian and Ryan, and Harry who joins us in Senior Infants. New staff members this year include Ms. Aoife Harrington who takes over from Mrs. Ryan who is on Maternity Leave and Ms. Kate O’Callaghan who will be part of our Support Team and will be with us on Thursdays. Best of luck in your time with Shanbally NS.  Congratulations to Mrs. Ryan and her family on the safe and happy arrival of baby Tom during the summer. Congratulations also to Ms. Moran who got engaged recently.

Our Parents Association have asked us to communicate the following:

• Parent Association AGM – Tuesday 12th September 8.00pm. All welcome!

Our PA is an integral part of the school and contributes greatly throughout the year. We would strongly urge as many parents as possible to attend!

• Clothes Collection – Monday 2nd October. A great opportunity to clear your summer clutter! Paired shoes, bags, belts, clothes in saleable condition.
• Bag packing in Dunne’s Stores Carrigaline on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th October. Hopefully you can volunteer some time to help to make this event a great success.

 

I would like to remind everyone that Shanbally NS is a nut free school and that our Allergies Policy is now in place and available to see on our website www.shanballyns.ie
