Dear Parents,
Welcome to the first newsletter for 2015 and we hope you are all well settled into the swing of school, and looking forward to the arrival of spring and lighter nights.
A belated massive “THANK YOU” to all who either attended or donated to our Christmas Bazaar, it was a resounding success and raised much needed funds for the school.

Tuesday 10th February
- Internet Safety Evening: In a bid to better arm us as parents we have organised a speaker to attend the school on Tuesday 10th February at 7.30pm, this should last approximately one hour and will cover The Internet and social networking, Inappropriate content and malicious software, Illegal downloading, sexting and cyber-bullying with a Q&A’s to the speaker afterwards. We are running this on “Safer Internet Day”. We would urge as many parents as possible to attend this free event.
Friday 13th February
- Valentines Cake Sale: We are planning a cake sale for Valentine’s Day on Friday 13th February, the cake sales are always popular with the students and if your fabulous efforts for our Halloween Cake Sale are anything to go by we are in for a treat!! Please bring all cakes, cupcakes and cookies to the Halla on the morning of the sale, please can we also ask that all containers are clearly marked so they can be easily returned.
Friday 27th February
- Zumbathon: Get your dancing shoes on!!! We have secured the fabulous “Danny Zumba” to lead us in what promises to be a hilarious night of Zumba dancing at Vo2 fitness in Fernhill Golf and Country Club on Friday 27th February at 7.30pm, and the cost of all this fun €10.00. All welcome no matter your age or fitness “it’s all about the fun” ! See the posters in and around the school for more details.
