During the month of November a “Memory Tree” was set up in our school “Sacred Space”, which is located just inside the main door, opposite the office. The pupils and staff were invited, if they wished, to draw a picture or write the names of their loved ones who have died and place it on the Memory Tree, so that our school community could unite in remembering our loved ones who have passed on. A candle was lit on the Sacred Space each day, in their memory. At the end of the month the names were taken down from the Memory tree and Fr. Sean has suggested that these slips of paper will be burnt at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night in Shanbally Church. We will think again of those loved ones who have died, on that night and keep them in our thoughts and prayers.
