The children in Rang 5 and Rang 6 had their school tour yesterday. We kept the tour local calling to some of the sites and attractions of the ‘real capital’ Cork City. We started off with a tour of the Crawford Art Gallery a wonderful amenity that is free to visit. Children were really impressed with the art work and are encouraged to visit again when they are in town with their parents.

Then it was on to the City Gaol where we saw the cells and heard case studies of inmates from the 1860’s. This proved very popular with the boys and girls and it really brought our local history to life in a real and meaningful way.

Finally we called to the Glen Resource centre and the children took part in Achery, Zorbing (see photo) cable traversing, crate stacking and team building games. The children really enjoyed this part of the day despite the weather.
