Wednesday, January 30th, is Grandparents’ Day and the pupils in our school are kept very busy preparing cards, poems and stories about their wonderful Grannies and Grandads.
Grandparent’s day is held during Catholic School’s Week every year to celebrate and pay tribute to grandparents and the role they play in handing on the faith to their grandchildren and in supporting the community of faith at home and in the parish.
See this website for further information: http://www.catholicbishops.ie/catholicschoolsweek/
Here is a selection of poems that the 4th Class pupils wrote about their Grandparents. They were prepared with great enthusiasm and lots of love, in appreciation of the great role their grandparents have, in each child’s life.

We wish all grandparents a very happy day on the 30th January. We also remember those who are no longer with us and we hope that they are enjoying their eternal reward with God.
Go Raibh Míle Maith Agaibh, gach Mamó agus Daideó !!
