Monday 13 September 2010
Dear Parents,
Here are some further items for our information, in addition to the first Newsletter we issued you.
Days on which we will be closed, in addition to the Standardised Closings already issued:
Mid-term break – the full week in February 21 -25.
Friday 18th March (day after St. Patricks Day for which we are also closed)
Final Day of School in summer is Wednesday 29th June.
Note: School re-opens for the 2011/12 year on Wednesday 31 August 2011.
Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research: This will take place on Saturday 9 October at 3 p.m. More information and sponsorship cards to follow.
Parent/ Teacher Meetings: These will take place on Wednesday & Thursday 24 and 25 November. The school will close early on both of those days.
(iv) Annual School Book Fair Week: The Book Fair arrives on Tuesday 10 November to the 17. The Book Fair is an event the children look forward to each year.

It requires commitment and effort, but there is great satisfaction in supporting the school your children are in and helping to provide the best support you can to the children, teachers and fellow parents during the school year.
Please attend the Parents Association Information night which will give you an account of its activities in the past year and encourage more parents to give a little of their time in the coming year: This takes place, in school, next Thursday 16 September at 8.30 pm sharp.
“Just a Night Out”- an informal (no tickets required, no fund-raising planned) social night out for Parents and Friends with music and craic in the nearby Shamrock Bar on next Friday 17 September from 9 p.m. 'til late! All welcome.
(vii) Parking. Final Reminder. I have observed the car park on a number of mornings and I am shocked at the behaviour of some parents who abandon cars willy-nilly around the entrance and exit with the result that other parents either can’t enter the car park or get
