Cinderella with a Twist and Christmas Carol Service/One Bright Night

Shanbally NS is involved in two productions this year. Cinderella with a Twist for 2 class to 6 class which will be held in Ringaskiddy Community Hall and the Christmas Carol Service/One Bright Night with Junior Infants to 1 class which will be held in Shanbally Church.

There are 3 shows scheduled for Cinderella, a Matinee at 12noon on Wednesday 14 December, an evening show at 7pm on Wednesday 14 December and an evening show at 7pm on Thursday 15 December. The shows are approx. of 1 hour duration. Tickets cost €5 per adult and €2 per child and will be available to purchase in the next few weeks. We will be selling 150 tickets for each evening performance but there will be fewer tickets available to purchase for the Matinee. See 3 below. Tickets are sold on a first come/paid, first served basis.

For the Matinee performance on Wednesday 14 December the children from Junior Infants to First Class (@ €2 per child) will be bussed to the Hall unless their parents have also purchased tickets in which case they can collect their children from school on their way to the performance. This would mean fewer children to bus to the venue! School will be over after the Matinee so all parents can collect their children from the Hall.

The Shows need 12 parent volunteers. 10 are needed to assist at the Dress Rehearsals and Shows and 2 are needed to train on the Sound & Lighting System and operate the Sound & Lighting for Dress Rehearsals and Shows. Please ring Ruth in the office to volunteer.

The dates of the Dress Rehearsals in Ringaskiddy are as follow:
Thursday 8th December 9-1pm Children (2 to 6) to be dropped by parents to Ringaskiddy Community Hall for 9am. School will organise for children to be collected and brought back to school at 12.45.
Monday 12th December 9-1pm Children (2 to 6) to be dropped by parents to Ringaskiddy Community Hall for 9am. School will organise for children to be collected and brought back to school at 12.45.
Tuesday 13th December 1pm-2.30pm Children (2 to 6) will be dropped to Ringaskiddy Community Hall and parents must collect them from there at 2.30pm.

Please note that when the children are dropped directly to rehearsals and Matinee you should provide their usual school lunch.

The Christmas Carol Service/ One Bright Night is on Tuesday 20 December at 7pm. Children are to wear all black e.g. long sleeved tops, pants, leggings, skirts, tights etc. They will be making masks in school.
The following props and costumes are required, if possible, by Friday 25. Please contact the office if you can lend the following items. Ruth will confirm that it is ok to drop them off i.e. We don’t have room to store dozens of ball gowns or beer crates!!
