Christmas Notes
Dear parents, a reminder of our Cork Simon Fundraiser (see attached Santa Stamp Envelopes). For 1 euro these stamps are available from class teachers (up to 3rd class) or from the office. It is a nice way to support this local charity for very little. Thank you to those who have purchased the envelopes to date. We hope to send off monies collected in December, in time for Christmas.

Fifth Class Engineering Trip
Fifth Class were recently treated to a fantastic trip to the MaREI Centre for Marine and Renewable Energy Environmental Research Institute, Beaufort Building, University College Cork which is based in Ringaskiddy. The trip was organised by Steam Education along with their industry partners DePuy Synthes. Engineers from De Duy have been rolling out a fantastic programme called Engineering in a Box in our class this year. We are very grateful to Alice Darcy from Steam Education and Aoife Deane of MaREI for organising this memorable trip and all at De Puy who have been so kind to us over the last year. You really are inspiring the next generation of Engineers here in Shanbally!!
Peace Proms Kilkenny
Huge congrats to all the pupils who represented the school so well in Kilkenny last weekend at the Peace Proms Concert. The pupils and teachers who travelled on the day had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the experience. Thanks also to the parents who shared some lovely photos and videos with us over the last few days. We also really enjoyed the performance in Shanbally today. Thanks to Fr Sean for being so accommodating and letting us perform our concert in the church.
