Lottie Dolls for Junior and Senior Infants Aistear Programme

The Parents Association recently purchased Lottie Dolls for the Junior & Senior Infants Aistear Programme.  Aistear is play based learning on the national curriculum for Junior & Senior Infants.  The dolls are being used for discussions around clothes for different seasons and what clothes might be most appropriate for indoors and outdoors.

The dolls were very carefully selected as it is a requirement that they have child like proportions.  Lottie dolls are the creation of Arklu an Irish company based in Donegal.   The dolls are great for stimulating children’s imaginations and are positive role models.

The dolls are being used by Ms. O’ Donovan’s Junior Infants class and she has said that they are great for developing fine motor skills.
